Working towards a more sustainable future
Ole Wolffs sustainability practices and goals
Employees
We are an equal opportunity employer and fully recognize that employees are the most valuable assets. As such, our management policies are people-oriented and committed to creating a working environment for our employees that is conducive to their career development and personal growth. We strive to nurture a workplace that is just, inclusive and safe so that each employee can optimize their capabilities and build a culture of Teamwork, Integrity, and Innovation.
Suppliers
We hold a strong commitment to upholding human rights and environmental standards and is dedicated to ensuring that all raw materials are sourced in a legal and ethical manner. Our suppliers are expected to be responsible sources that actively promote human rights, safeguard human and environmental well-being, and combat issues such as forced labor, child labor, human trafficking, and slavery.
We conduct thorough due diligence on the sources and chain of custody for tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold to guarantee their responsible sourcing in alignment with the guidelines outlined in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict Affected and High-Risk Areas, or equivalent standards.
Environment
We ensure that recyclability is considered during product and package design, which means using all resources conservatively to prevent waste by avoiding over-buying and over-packaging. Additionally, reusing items and materials whenever possible is crucial, eliminating the need for disposal. Implementing waste classification systems to facilitate recycling and ensuring that recyclable waste is directed to appropriate recycling facilities is another vital step. Furthermore, green procurement plays a significant role, as it involves considering the purchase of green, sustainable, or recycled products whenever it’s appropriate and feasible. These strategies collectively contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible approach to resource management.
We employ an environmentally friendly and highly functional film made from recycled resin sourced from PET beverage bottles, featuring a very small thinness, contributing to the reduction of plastic waste.
The magnets used in REI drivers consist entirely of recycled post-consumer rare earth materials. This implies that the raw materials for the magnets are sourced from discarded products that have reached the end of their life cycle.
Incorporating recycled materials in various components reduces the environmental impact of production, while streamlining the production process contributes to lower energy consumption and minimizes carbon emissions.
Our “Reduced Environmental Impact (REI) drivers” are a new range of headphone drivers developed by Ole Wolff with the goal to reduce the environmental impact through a series of sustainable initiatives without compromising acoustic performance with a goal of keeping it cost neutral.
Constructed with sustainable materials and manufacturing enhancements, this product emphasizes ecological responsibility by maximizing recycled components and streamlining production. It significantly reduces the reliance on less common resources, minimizes adhesive usage, and employs recycled rare earth materials in magnet production, all while maintaining equivalent performance levels, ultimately resulting in a reduced environmental footprint.
